Fall! The Years Most Perfect Palette of Foods and Spices to "Dance With!"

Fall has to be MY personal favorite time of year! This is when I, after a long hot summer hiatus of avoiding using my favorite heavy-duty-cooking appliances, can FINALLY come in, roll up my sleeves and boogie to my own "cooking rhapsody" in my wonderful favorite place to be --MY Kitchen!

The weather has been perfect here lately! I think Fall is my favorite time of year. I love to cook in my kitchen, and it's so delightful then, especially with the cornucopia of delicious vegetables and fruit this time of year.

I consider the Fall season to be my perfect palette of foods and spices "to dance with!" I know that sounds like an odd metaphor, but when I get into MY cooking-mood and routine, I feel like I am almost "dancing with my ingredients!" It's a "creative-high" for me!

I've been crafting-up some new renditions of all sorts of Fall foods. Most are all already photographed, and I can't wait to start posting them. I've got a honey of a favorite coming out next, "Roasted Vegetables with Sage Honey Dressing and Walnuts." Just thinking about it I get hungry! It goes with so many things!

In my opinion, Fall is also the best time to teach someone to cook! With all the "Food-inspirations" out there, and with the start of the holidays approaching in about a month, there are so many reasons and incentives to "learn to dance with your food" using Fall's flavors, textures, and aromas to create works of art for your own home "audience of grateful diners!"

It's your own unique journey into new horizons of food taste-satisfaction that will live on for your family's generations to come! So come "dance with me!"

A tip from Sue!

A good cook should control the salt and spices!

Do not use salted butter, garlic powder, or heavily salted canned foods. Instead, if you need butter, use unsalted butter and then add in the salt separately so that YOU control the amount of salt you need. The same goes for spices. Using commercially salted and seasoned products will homogenize the taste of your recipes. When you eat something, you should be able to taste all the individual.flavors of a dish.
